Browser storage

Cookie Policy

The iMatch documentation application does not currently set cookies. It uses limited local browser storage for tutorial progress and your documentation-metrics preference.

LegalPrivacy PolicyTerms of UseCookie Policy

1. Cookies and local storage

A cookie is a small text record that a website sends with browser requests. Local storage is a separate browser feature that keeps information on your device and does not automatically send it with every request.

The iMatch documentation application does not currently create first-party advertising, marketing, analytics, or preference cookies. Our hosting provider may use essential network-security mechanisms when delivering and protecting the site.

2. Local-storage records

The site can create these records in your browser:

imatch-guided-tutorials-v1

Remembers your current tutorial step, completion date, and yes/no feedback on this device.

Storage: local · Duration: until deleted or cleared
imatch-guide-analytics-ids-v1

Keeps random, per-guide identifiers used to update or prevent duplicate helpful/not-helpful response metrics. It is not an iMatch account or general session identifier.

Storage: local · Duration: until deleted or cleared
imatch-guide-analytics-opt-out-v1

Remembers when you turn documentation metrics off in this browser.

Storage: local · Duration: until deleted or cleared

3. Privacy-minimized tutorial metrics

Unless you opt out or a supported browser privacy signal is active, opening or completing a tutorial and choosing helpful or not helpful can send a limited event to this site. The event is described in the Privacy Policy and does not include a name, email address, account identifier, or free-form response.

The site contains no advertising network or third-party marketing analytics code.

4. Your controls

  • Use Change preference in the footer to turn documentation metrics off or back on for this browser.
  • Supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals suppress tutorial metrics.
  • Use your browser's site-data settings to view or clear local storage.
  • Blocking local storage does not block the documentation, but tutorial progress and preferences may not persist.

Clearing all site data also clears the saved opt-out preference. If you return afterward, set the preference again if you want tutorial metrics to remain off.

5. External websites

External websites reached through links or sites that embed an iMatch tutorial may use their own cookies or storage. Their policies and controls apply to those technologies.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy if the site's storage or measurement features change. The effective and last-updated dates above identify the current version.

For questions about browser storage on this site, contact Suparena Software Inc. through the company website.
